Professional Affiliates

We work alongside professional affiliations that are carefully considered and are limited to organisations that are registered charities, Companies Limited by Guarantee, or bodies in receipt of direct Government funding. Our affiliations provide opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and coordinated action on issues that matter to social workers, the profession, and the communities you serve.

Health & Social Care Professions Alliance (HSCPA)

The Health and Social Care Professions Alliance (HSCPA) is a grouping of the professional bodies of those professions regulated, or due to be regulated, by CORU.

Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL)

ICCL is Ireland’s leading independent human rights campaigning organisation. They monitor, educate and campaign to secure human rights for everyone in Ireland.

Irish Council of Social Workers in Adoption (ICSWA)

The Irish Council of Social Workers In Adoption (ICSWA) was formerly known as the Council of Irish Adoption Agencies and was first set up in 1961. Over the years the organisation has acted as an advocate for change and representatives have met with state departments.

Irish Network Against Racism (INAR) & Reporting Racism In Ireland

Dedicated to finding common strategies and policy positions for combating racism, finding ways of complementing each other’s work, and offering cross-community and cross-sectoral support and solidarity.

Reporting Racism in Ireland enables people who experience or witness racism and/or those supporting them to do something about it and break the silence.

Safeguarding Ireland

Safeguarding Ireland promotes safeguarding of vunerable adults to protect them from all forms of abuse by persons, organisations and institutions to develop a national plan for promoting their welfare.

Professional Memberships

We belong to a number of professional organisations and networks that support our work at national and international levels. Our memberships help connect Irish social workers to wider professional conversations, emerging developments, research, and advocacy initiatives.

Irish Penal Reform Trust

Established in 1994, the Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) is Ireland’s leading non governmental organisation campaigning for rights in the penal system and the progressive reform of Irish penal policy.

International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW)

The IFSW is the global body for the profession. The Federation and its national members strive for social justice, human rights and inclusive, sustainable social development through the promotion of social work best practice and engagement in international cooperation.

European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN)

The Mission of EAPN Ireland is To put the eradication of poverty at the top of the Irish and European policy agenda and empower groups working to end poverty to understand and influence policy-making.

 

Age Action

Their services and programmes support older people and their families to live full and independent lives and they endeavour to ensure services and supports are models of good practice.

Children’s Rights Alliance

They change the lives of all children in Ireland by making sure that their rights are respected and protected in laws, policies and services. They identify problems for children, develop solutions, educate and provide information on children’s rights.

Irish Foster Care Association (IFCA)

The Irish Foster Care Association is the national organisation that supports foster families and the wider fostering community. We advance and promote best practice in foster care through support, learning and advocacy.

Mental Health Reform

The Wheel

They are Ireland’s national association of community and voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises. They are unique in their role as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for anything related to the charity and nonprofit sector.

Over the past 25 years, ESN has brought together local public social services authorities, directors, researchers and policymakers to share knowledge, best practice and innovation for stronger, more inclusive social services across the continent.
