Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors provides leadership, direction, and oversight for the Association. The Board plays an important role in representing members’ interests across key areas. The Board has several sub committees including International Affairs Committee, Journal Committee, HR, Finance Risk and Governance, Membership and Continuous Professional Development. Through the SIG Network and the Sub- Committees, the Board provides representation in: professional development, advocacy, communications, governance, research, and international affairs.
The Board are elected by IASW members at the Annual General Meeting and bring vision and direction for the Association and engage in strategic tasks relating to Membership, Treasury, Policy Development, Journal, HR, Communications and International Affairs.
As the governing body of the IASW, the Board also carries responsibility for the legal, financial, and regulatory obligations of the Association, including company governance, HR, data protection, health and safety, financial reporting, and the promotion of the IASW Code of Ethics and Practice.
